Who uses this app

Hermes is a personal assistant for the site operator's own Google account. It is not available for public sign-up.

Google data and permissions

With the operator's consent, Hermes accesses Gmail messages and metadata to identify tasks, bookings and reminders. It can archive, label or move messages to Trash and send replies when instructed or configured to do so. It accesses Google Calendar events to prepare schedules and can create, edit or delete events. Its Google OAuth permissions are Gmail modify, Gmail send and Calendar events.

How data is used and shared

Hermes uses this information only to provide the operator's requested personal automation. Relevant message or event content may be sent to OpenAI to produce summaries or carry out instructions, and briefings may be sent to the operator's Telegram chat. The app does not sell Google user data or share it with advertisers. Google Workspace API data is not used to develop, improve or train generalized AI or machine-learning models. Use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Storage and retention

Configuration, access tokens, memories and conversation history are stored on the operator's private server. Encrypted backups are stored in a private GitHub repository. Data remains until the operator deletes it or retires the service. The operator can revoke Google access in their Google Account settings and delete the local data and backups.
